What a year!

2012 has been quite the year! I can pretty safely say, our house is never a dull place.  Micah has had all sorts of new experiences with preschool, and after a rough start to the year,  he's (we've all) enjoyed a nice break from the hospital.  We have no way to predict what will come our way next year, but we're thankful he's happy and healthy.  He continues to be pretty opinionated, and as someone in church said... someday he will get that church microphone that's being passed around for announcements.  :)  For now, he has fun trying his best to interrupt dad's announcements for the youth.  He's a very busy boy, with 4 therapies outside of school and 4 in school and preschool two days a week.
Miss Kyleigh Ann decided to follow in brothers footsteps, and did a little bit of her own "crashing into this world" in September.  After leaving a half dozen doctors totally befuddled on what was going on with her, she worked it all out and has been doing fantastic ever since. She's getting SO big, and so strong, wow!  That, and she'll talk your ear off if you let her.  She may get that honestly.  In the last month she's started to laugh, usually at big brothers antics.  Certainly there's no shortage of that around here.  She's been a really good baby (making up for those first ten days, maybe!).
Travis and I are just trying to keep up with them.  He's working 30 hours a week at camp, and 20 at church.  Somewhere in there he's squeezing in a Masters program, and will be finished with that this summer.  As for me, I spend most of my days juggling the two kiddos and trying to sleep whenever I can!

Micah on the mend...

Micah seems to be doing better.  We had a handful of close calls on going to the E.R.  We tried to be patient and it paid off... we were able to get his oxygen up high enough w/ breathing treatments, repositioning and a handful of dumb luck.  Now he seems to be on the mend, and no worse for the wear... He's still coughing a lot and has shared it with sister, despite our efforts.  Hopefully she doesn't have as much trouble as he did.

Poor little man

Our poor little man has had a terrible cold since Monday.  Every time he seems to be turning the corner, he goes down again.  We've been very close to leaving for the E.R. on a number of occasions. He's been having trouble overnight holding up his oxygen levels and has been coughing up blood on numerous occasions.  We need to avoid pneumonia, that's the big thing.  After some emails between us and our ENT in Cincy (God bless him) and calls to the ped, we're going to try an antibiotic to be sure he doesn't have multiple things going on.
